Exemplar
Look at this exemplar to get an idea of what the final product might look like.
Research
You, or you and a friend, will select an endangered, vulnerable, or threatened species and write a species recovery plan to help increase the population. Use this Endangered Species Note document to collect your research. This document includes helpful resources and links to real species recovery plans. You will use this information to create the species recovery plan for your species and use the presentation template.
Maps
Your species may or may not have downloadable maps about their current or historic range. If there are no maps, you will research the range and create a map. Here are the expectations for maps. Use a black and white map of the area to record the information. See the examples below:
Species Recovery Plan
Put your research on this document as well as the threats your species faces and your species recovery plan.
Presentation
Use this TEMPLATE for your presentation. Do not change the format. Here is the checklist for presentation.
Your Endangered Species Note document will help you create the plan. Here is a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Report on the endangered Akaiapola'au bird. Your notes will be similar but more brief and you will use your notes to make the presentation. Here is an example.
