Extension Homework for Ch. 4
If you did well on the Ch. 4 pre-test, you would receive an email telling you which sections you had shown mastery for. Below is the extension homework that is done as a replacement homework for the regularly assigned homework for chapter 4. However, if you did not receive an email but would like to do some of the extension (more challenging) problems you have two choices:
Ch. 4.2.1 replacement homework = Singapore Math Question 9 - Show your work clearly.
Ch. 4.2.2 replacement homework = Singapore Math Question 11 - Show your work clearly.
Ch. 4.3.1 to 4.3.2 replacement homework = Puzzle Investigation Problem 4 (PIP 4) - this is located in the back of your textbook and on-line under the "References" tab.
In your table of contents (TOC), write the section the homework is replacing and the new assignment "Ch. 4.2.1 = Signapore Math."
- Situation 1: Talk to me to show me that you now know the material well enough that you can do the extension material instead of the regularly assigned homework. In this case, you would do the extension material only.
- Situation 2: Do the regularly assigned homework AND the extension homework. The extension homework can be done for extra credit.
